About AnthropoSprawl

AnthropoSprawl visualises how the highest-rated historical photographs of a city were geographically distributed on PastVu.com over time. Each dot on the map represents a photo — filter by year to see how documentation of a city shifted across decades.

Data is sourced from PastVu's public API, a community-driven archive of historical urban photography. For each city a subset of the highest-rated photographs is shown, giving a representative overview of coverage.
